HUNGER

Whenever you use a Power, make a Hunger roll by rolling a red die (your Hunger die).If you roll higher than your current Hunger, add 1 to your Hunger. If your Hunger reaches 6, you starve to death.

FEEDING

To reduce your Hunger, feed on a mortal and roll a die. If you roll:

  • Equal to or above your Hunger, the victim is stunned. They do not remember the feeding afterwards.

  • Below your hunger, the victim dies. The GM rolls in secret to see if the victim becomes a vampire (1-in-6 chance).

Either way, your Hunger is reduced to its minimum.

DOING THINGS

When you do something dangerous to get what you want, roll:

  • One die if what you're doing is within normal human capabilities.

  • Your Hunger die if you are expending supernatural effort to get what you want. If it shows higher than your current Hunger, add 1 to your Hunger.

Your highest rolled die tells you how well you do.

  • On a 1-3, you get what you want at a cost or compromise.

  • On a 4-5, you get what you want.

  • On a 6, you get what you want plus a little bit extra, maybe more than you want.

FAILING

If someone (including you) thinks the story would be more interesting if you don't get what you want, they describe how you might fail, then roll a die.If their die rolls higher than your highest die, you fail as they described. If you are confronting another supernatural threat and make a "doing things" roll, you must include the failure die.

CONDITIONS

Conditions are burdens you acquire through physical or mental harm. (ex.: torched, shot, rattled)
Conditions can be given as a consequence of a 1-3 roll or a Failed roll, or if a beast does something really foolish.
If you take three conditions, your beast is removed from play.
Conditions can be removed by either sleeping or making a Hunger roll, one for each condition removed.

  • The GM must always warn the players if an action could give them a condition.

PvP

When one beast is at odds with another, roll off. Whoever rolls higher wins. If it's a tie, whoever is hungrier wins.
